Payday Morale
A one-tap payday button that rewards a hard day's work with the satisfying ka-ching of a cash register.
The idea is simple: save it to your phone’s home screen, and when you walk in the door after a long day, give it a tap. You get the satisfying ka-ching of a cash register, a small hit of dopamine, and a reward to come home to.
What it does
Tap the big PAYDAY button to mark the end of the day. It ticks off the working week (Mon to Fri) and tallies what you’ve “earned” against a daily rate you set, with day, week, and month views. A small, tactile way to close out a shift.
Why I built it
This creation was born out of a lunchtime conversation when work motivation was whining. Mates and I spoke about looking forward to payday where it resets the BS meter that fills up works drudgery. This was my attempt to reset that BS meter daily so I can start work the following day fresh. Novelty project to share with colleagues.
